Financial Aid Application Steps:
- STEP 1: Apply for financial aid online:
- FAFSA application: https://studentaid.gov
- Dream application: https://dream.csac.ca.gov/landing
- LACC School Code: 001223
- STEP 2: Make sure you select your refund preference. Click this link for more information: myLACCDcard
[this step is done once the student is admitted and enrolled in courses, it is not necessarily a financial aid related process]
- STEP 3: Log in to Student Information System to confirm that LACC is your Home School
- The college logo on your homepage will show your current home school
- If you need to make any changes, please contact General Counseling
- STEP 4: Check your Financial Aid status in the LACCD Student Information System
- Click on the Financial Aid and Scholarships tile
- Check your "To Do List" for any outstanding tasks
- Create your profile on the Financial Aid Portal (https://lacitycollege.studentforms.com)

Career Exploration:
- You can visit our very own Career Center here on LACC’s campus. The Career Center provides students with individual and group counseling, vocational testing services, exploration of career options, and information on occupational fields and employment.
- The California Career Zone is a career exploration and planning system designed especially for students. Students can explore career options by taking self-assessments that can link up your interests to jobs and occupations. Students can also find out how much money they will need to pay for housing, transportation, bills, clothing, etc. and which occupations will pay for all their needs.
- The Career Cafe is a networking site that assists individuals with all the resources they need to get a job, such as: workshops, job search guides, resume guidebook and software, effective websites, and professional career facilitators.
- My Next Move: What do you want to do for a living? Search careers with keywords, browse careers by industry, and get career suggestions based on what you like to do.
