LACC CAREER CENTER SERVICES
The goal of career counseling services at the Career Center is to help students and alumni learn how to make informed decisions in their educational and career choices. Those decisions should reflect students’ personal goals, values, and interests, and should lead toward satisfying academic work in their major and a fulfilling career.
CAREER AND JOB PLACEMENT
The Career Center will help prepare you for your next job or career whether you are currently in school, or are a recent transfer or graduate.

In addition to Career Counseling Services, LACC offers a number of additional resources including courses and Adult and Vocational Education classes, CTE, information for Undocumented Students, and Faculty/Program support.
LACC offers a number of different in-person and online Counseling Classes.
Counseling 20 (3 Units/CSUGE Area E) is designed for students who are undecided about their pathways, career, and/or educational goals. It is a hands-on and interactive career planning process that includes the following topics: self-exploration, clarification on values, interest and skills analysis, researching career options, interviewing skills, decision making, and goal setting process. Counselors will assist students in creating an educational plan based on major and career pathways.
Counseling 40 (3 Units/CSUGE Area E)helps students explore issues related to higher education that contribute to student success. Topics will include an overview of academic success skills, value and purpose of higher education, college and district policies and procedures, ethics and responsibility,diversity in higher education, educational strategies and planning,interpersonal communication, career development, health issues,and self-assessment techniques.

- Advising & Counseling: General information and advising is available via Cranium Cafe. Limited counseling appointments are also be available.
- Immigration Services: In partnership with CARECEN to offer FREE immigration legal services for the LACC Dream Resource Center every Wednesday (virtual and in person).
- Financial Aid/CA Dream Act: Get help with Financial aid/CA Dream applications.
- Workshops: Presentations on a variety of topics including Legal Updates, Undocu Chats, Scholarships and more!

The Los Angeles City College (LACC) Noncredit / Adult Education program prepares Basic Skills learners, English as a Second Language learners, disadvantaged populations, and other non-traditional college students to attain the essential knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully acquire and retain employment, transition to college, and/or effectively explore, plan and establish career pathways leading to growth opportunities in high demand occupations.
