All ADE eligible students who submit and ADE form and it is approved by Admissions & Records will have a hold placed on their account. This means that every semester you will need to submit an ADE form to enroll in upcoming courses. If you try to enroll without having submitted the ADE form, then you will get an error message when trying to add a course.

No. FAFSA and CA Dream Act (CADA) require that students complete their GED or HS Diploma in order to be eligible. Please speak with the Financial Aid Office about the FAFSA or Dream Resource Center about CADA.

That's ok. We recommend meeting with a career counselor in the Career Center. They will be able to guide and support you as you decide on a major.

Books are not covered under ADE. ADE participants are responsible for purchasing books on their own. The following are some programs that may be able to lend books to you, although it is not guaranteed:

  • City Cares Network/Fresh Success
  • CalWORKs
  • Dream Resource Center

Any time you want to add a new class to your schedule and it is not on your ADE form, then you will need to submit another ADE form. Reminder that ADE forms take 2-3 days to be processed by Admissions & Records.

Each college, LACCD or outside of LACCD, have their own ADE process. Students will need to follow the receiving campus ADE process. If you have further questions about this, please make an appointment with a LACC noncredit counselor
