About Noncredit & Adult Education

The Los Angeles City College (LACC) Noncredit / Adult Education program provides FREE adult educational courses and programs to help you pursue your academic, career, professional, and/or personal goals.  

Our programs prepares Basic Skills learners, English as a Second Language learners, disadvantaged populations, and other non-traditional college students to attain the essential knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully acquire and retain employment, transition to college, and/or effectively explore, plan and establish career pathways leading to growth opportunities in high demand occupations.

Programs Include:
  • Career & Technical Education to prepare students for the workforce 
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) to learn and/or improve English
  • Vocational ESL (VESL) to work on your English skills for specific occupations
  • GED Preparation
  • Workplace Readiness
  • Adult Basic Education
  • Parent Education
  • Older Adults

Career Development and College Preparation (CDCP) Programs:

Noncredit certificates of completion or competency leading to improved employability, job placement, and academic skills are offered in the areas of short term vocational or workforce preparation, basic skills, and English as a Second Language. Certificate programs are favorably recognized by business and industry and are frequently used as a requirement for professional advancement. Noncredit classes do not generate degree applicable college units.

Fall 2024 Parking
  • Regular Parking for Lot 1 & 2  $20.00
  • Preferred Parking for Lot 1, 2, & 3  $27.00 (Parking Fee $20 + ASG Fee $7.00) 
  • Parking Lot 4 is strictly for Faculty and Staff

  • Citizenship Events: 
    November 16 Citizenship Workshop (last one for 2024)  by appointment only.​
