LACC President Search: Public Forum with Finalists

The Los Angeles Community College District’s (LACCD) Chancellor, Dr. Francisco Rodriguez, is pleased to announce that the Search Committee for Los Angeles City College (LACC) President has identified finalists for the next permanent President of LACC. Chancellor Rodriguez extends his sincere thanks and appreciation to the members of the LACC President Search Committee, chaired by Dr. Melinda Nish, and comprised of members representing a cross-section of LACC stakeholders and constituencies.
The District Human Resources Division worked closely with the consultant from executive search firm
Community College Search Services (CCSS), in conducting this national search, which resulted in a diverse and highly qualified pool of applicants. The Search Committee has recommended the following finalists to the Chancellor for further consideration: Dr. Santanu Bandyopadhyay, Dr. Erika Endrijonas, Dr. Amanuel Gebru, and Dr. James Lancaster.
The Chancellor is expected to interview the finalists in the last week of April and the Board of Trustees is expected to thereafter, formally announce the selected candidate.
Public Forum with Finalists
Finalists have been invited to participate in person in a public forum to introduce themselves to the LACC community. Each candidate is scheduled to appear at a public forum on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
The public forum will also be livestreamed on YouTube
Public Forum Location and Schedule
The public forum, will be moderated by the Los Angeles Community College District Director of Communications and Marketing, Juliet Hidalgo.

- Thursday, April 27, 9:00 – 9:30 am
Finalist: Dr. Santanu Bandyopadhyay - Thursday, April 27, 9:45 – 10:15 am
Finalist: Dr. James Lancaster - Thursday, April 27, 10:30– 11:00 am
Finalist: Dr. Erika Endrijonas - Thursday, April 27, 11:15 – 11:45 am
