Film Screening and Celebration: 'Erasure'

LACC is honored to host this screening event from the Department of Arts and Culture, the Los Angeles City & County Native American Indian Commission, and Creative Strategist Jacob Pratt (Dakota and Ojibway).  We invite you to a film screening, Q&A, and celebration on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 5:30 to 8:30pm.

Erasure is a short film that examines the hardships, challenges, and victories of the region’s Native American people.  In an effort to develop ways to increase awareness and understanding of local Tribes and the urban American Indian, the film explores their histories and cultural practices.  We hope to advance the County’s ongoing effort to undo the systemic erasure and to build and sustain trust between LA County and its Native community, one of the largest Native populations in the nation.
