Professor Aguiniga Campos teaches a variety of Kinesiology Majors courses (Intro to Kinesiology, Intro to Coaching, & Women in Sport) and physical activity courses (self-defense, cross training, fitness walking, etc.).  He has over a decade of experience teaching and coaching at the high school and college level. He achieved early success at the high school level as a soccer coach, including winning consecutive CIF championships. He has coached both men's and women's soccer teams, leading them to league titles and playoff appearances. Most recently, he rebuilt the LACC Men's Soccer program and led them to a national ranking and playoff berth within the first two seasons.

Christine teaches a variety of kinesiology activity courses and health courses. Her professional background includes delivering workshops for the Los Angeles County Office of Education to K-12 physical educators on fitness testing, curriculum design and incorporating the national and state standards into lesson plans.  She has been a Research Assistant on grant-funded projects and co-authored physical therapy journal articles. She is certified as an Adaptive and Inclusive Fitness Trainer & has a passion for helping students with physical disabilities to participate in sports and fitness.  She founded the non-profit, the U.S. Blind Tandem Cycling Connection to assist blind and sighted bicyclists to meet and go tandem cycling.  She and her blind cycling teammate placed 3rd in the nation in female road tandem cycling.  In her younger days, Christine won the California State Mountabin Biking Championships. Her hobbies are gravel cycling, mountain biking and adventuring with her big, sweet labradoodle.

Diana teaches KIN 251 Yoga Skills, DANCETQ 141 - Modern Dance Techniques, & DANCEST 185 - Directed Study. 

Diana is a Dance Artist/Yoga specialist, a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (L/BMA), & an award-winning teacher, honored by the California Alliance of Art Education. Her Dance Theatre works have been shown in an around the greater Los Angeles area with her company, Mango Dance Theatre.

Diana’s professional background includes serving as Past President of the California Dance Education Association, teacher trainer in the California State Department subject matter program, the California Arts Project, and teacher trainer in the Gift of Yoga School in Sonora, California. She has taught Dance Pedagogy at Loyola Marymount University and Cal State LA.

Hiroko Hojo image

Adjunct Associate Professor of Dance

Hiroko Hojo teaches Dance Studies 805, History & Appreciation of Dance.  She is originally from Japan  where, at the age of 4, she began studying traditional Japanese dance at the Fujima School.  Awarded the title Yumino Fujima in 1975, she enchanted audiences at Japan's National Theater throughout the 1980s.  Hiroko has explored ballet, modern dance, Balinese and Javanese styles, and international ballroom dance. Based in Los Angeles, she has choreographed numerous works and developed dance courses at various CSU and community colleges. Her performances have graced prestigious venues such as Disney Hall, The Japan America Theater, and California Plaza. Hiroko has been a certified yoga instructor since 2004, garnering accolades including a "Meritorious Achievement Award" from NBC in 1987 and a nomination for the Lester Horton Dance Award in 1997. Her profound impact on the Los Angeles dance scene was recognized with a "Distinguished Faculty Award" from El Camino College in 2015.

Ara has years of experience helping adults and athletes achieve their fitness goals. He is the owner of The Strong DNA, a gym that specializes in fitness for those 40 years and older.  He has built an excellent reputation based on his work ethic, character, loyalty to his clients, and dedication to improving himself as a coach.  He holds many certifications: ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, National Association of Speed and Explosion Certified Coach, DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Master Trainer, TRX Course Instructor, Strong First Elite (Kettlebell, Barbell, Bodyweight), Strong First Elite (Kettlebell, Barbell, Bodyweight), Applied Performance Coach, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, Functional Movement Screen FMS1, NSPA Certified Program Design Specialist, APC Applied Performance Coach and more.  At, LACC, he teaches self-defense and weight training.

Mario teaches ballet, body conditioning and dance history.  He trained at the School of American Ballet,  the official school of the New York City Ballet.  He trained privately with instructors Christina Bernal, Maggie Black, Edward Caton, Léonide Massine, Melissa Hayden and David Howard.  He has danced with prestigious ballet companies and on Broadway with Rudolf Nureyev. He is a Fulbright Scholar, in conjunction with the Royal Danish Ballet and the University of Copenhagen. His teaching experience includes Royal Danish Ballet, Culberg Ballet, Ballet Academy of Stockholm, New Danish Dance Theatre, UC, Riverside, Cal State Long Beach.  Mario was the subject of a television documentary "Turning Point, City of Angels Ballet", featured in the book "Unselfish, Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Selfie". He created the City of Angels Ballet (CAB,) an afterschool ballet academy that has educated over 50,000 children in the fine performing arts, doing community outreach, lecture demonstrations, career day opportunities and after school ballet classes at no cost to the children. Mario has staged full length ballets in Southern California.
